INSURANCE

We are an in-network provider with Aetna. If your plan covers lactation consultant services, you are likely eligible for up to 6 visits at no charge to you, including prenatal classes and visits. We accept all Aetna subsidiary plans except Medicaid, Allied Health, Wellnet and GEHA.

For the following plans, our services may be covered by our affiliation with Lactation Network (lactationnetwork.com):

     - Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO (Horizon BCBS, Anthem BCBS and out of state BCBS plans)

     - CIGNA PPO
     - most United plans, including UMR and Oxford

     - VA CCN (Veterans Administration Community Care Network) 
     - any carrier with a PNOA (Provider Network of America) logo
     - any carrier with the Multiplan logo on the card 
Please go to https://go.lactationnetwork.com/BranchburgLactation and complete the insurance information. You should hear within 24 hours if your plan is pre-approved. If approved, 6+ visits are covered 100%. This includes prenatal sessions as well.

OUT-OF-NETWORK FEES

If you are not covered by Aetna or did not receive coverage approval from Lactation Network, you will need to pay out of pocket for your appointment. This includes Magnacare, Amerihealth, Aetna subsidiaries Allied Health, GEHA and Wellnet, and BCBS Federal. However, we can provide documentation for our clients to seek reimbursement from their plans. Please contact your carrier directly for details. In many cases, the cost of a consultation can be applied to a Health Care Spending Account as well.

Payment is accepted by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express (including HSA card).

Initial In-Home Lactation Consultation (90-120 minutes): $250 ($175 for telehealth)

• For families experiencing breastfeeding difficulties, such as latch challenges, nipple pain, concerns about production, etc.

Follow-Up In-Home Lactation Consultation (30-60 minutes): $150 ($100 for telehealth)

• For families who have already had an initial consultation and would benefit from more in-person support.

Back-to-Work Session (30-60 minutes): $150

• Topics include pumping, working with your childcare provider, maintaining milk supply, breastmilk storage and the challenges and joys about breastfeeding and going back to work.

Prenatal Consultation (60-90 minutes): $150

• For with specific breastfeeding concerns or challenges looking to map out a plan to get things off to the right start. Includes a copy of the book  "The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding."

All services are 50% off for families who are enrolled in WIC or Medicaid eligible. I do a limited amount of discounted or pro bono consults for cases of financial need. Please email dana@branchburglactation for details if you need services but cannot afford to pay.
